Military Appreciation Month

As Military Appreciation Month leads into Memorial Day next Monday, it’s a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave men and women in uniform. Beyond honoring their valor, it’s crucial to recognize the ongoing commitment to their well-being, both in active service and beyond. Amidst the challenges of combat, the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons (SOMOS) stands as a beacon of support, dedicated to keeping our military personnel physically sound.

We were fortunate to photograph SOMOS late last year, where we learned how they play a pivotal role in ensuring that our troops receive top-tier orthopedic care, addressing injuries sustained in the line of duty with expertise and compassion. From battlefield trauma to rehabilitation, SOMOS members work tirelessly to restore mobility and function, enabling service members to return to duty or transition back to civilian life with dignity.

On Memorial Day, as we pay homage to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, let’s also acknowledge the vital contributions of organizations like SOMOS. Their unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our military community embodies the spirit of service and solidarity that defines our nation.
