What Does Love Look Like
I Believe It Looks Like This
It’s been two months since my bestie Schulz transitioned. I never could have imagined the pain and grief, losing an animal that so embodied unconditional love. Love and gentleness toward everything that had a heartbeat. I never saw that dog be mean or aggressive to anything, ever.
Tears still flow. Right now, as I write. I feel compelled to continue to share the special in that boy. I couldn’t find this photo for so long. “Kairos time” my pastor would no doubt say. The little bird is missing his right eye and is in a state of helplessness. I remember being so blown away by this moment. And full of gratitude for having my professional camera in hand. There is no way to know or anticipate a moment like this is coming.
Maybe an image like this will bring just a little more love, mercy, peace, kindness to this world, so in need of it all. I hope you will share/forward this, with hope for just that. We can learn so much from animals.
