Alumni Connections are Twice as Ice
Staying Connected With Your Alma Matter Has Perks for Everyone
At some point, we’ll all leave school. That doesn’t mean school ever really leaves us, though.
We were reminded of our own “school daze” at a recent University of Denver Grads on Ice night when we watched newly minted DU grads lace up their skates and hit the ice together. Of course, Photography G wears our school affiliations on our sleeves: Garrett’s a proud University of Minnesota-Duluth alumnus and Kellie’s a University of Utah alumna. While Garrett practically grew up on skates, we all recognize the value of leaving school with pride and keeping contact with classmates and our schools long after the final exam gets turned in.
They’re great ways to stay involved with school, make new friends and associates, and lend a hand to students looking to find their way in the “real world” once they’re done. We’ve all been there and navigating life after school can be more slippery than, well, skating on ice. Especially if it’s your first time for either.
We hope you can find ways to get involved, stay active, and keep that school spirit strong!
